You may wonder, " How can you build a business on values and relationships?"

I sat myself down one day and considered all the various kinds of careers and jobs I had to choose from. If I didn't have to work to pay the bills, I would have plenty to keep me busy. I enjoy art projects, photography, writing, various outdoor activities, but that just isn't how it works. So, I considered what my personal gifts, talents, skills, experience, interests, and values were and what kind of work might suit me.

I've always loved looking for property. I considered real estate before I decided to finish college. But then I got a BS degree in environmental design. That combined my interests in both art/design and the environment. Not long after that, however, I chose to get graduate education in linguistics and anthropology. I spent 16 years living and working in Papua New Guinea using that training.

When I returned to the States, there wasn't much need for the skills I'd used in Papua New Guinea (PNG) - or were there? The highest value in PNG was relationships and I have brought that home with me. Here we can get so busy and so distracted with everything, we don't have time to really enjoy each other. I've been determined not to let that happen.

I've also been determined to let my values guide me, not a desire to make as much money as possible. I want to provide YOU-nique service by really listening to you and making every effort to meet your needs. I'm not a sales person. I'm a real estate professional who can provide the valuable service of guiding you through the process of buying or selling property. This calls for good communication, being open and honest, and expecting the same of you.

This is also where my environmental concerns come in. I don't like to see our local mountains being stripped and filled up with houses. I'm so sorry to see farms disappearing with shopping areas and subdivisions replacing them. Because of this, I will only list pre-owned homes or homes that have been built in a responsible, sustainable way. I will also provide information and referrals to businesses that can provide information about healthy, sustainable homes and living.
